FX Commentary – 06Nov

With US payrolls released later on in the trading session, the Asian markets were relatively quiet overnight. Non-farms, plus the G20 this weekend, meant Asian traders stayed on the sidelines. RBA increasing their growth forecasts from 0.5% to 1.75% and saying rates will rise steadily. Equities also higher with Nikkei +0.8%, Shanghai +0.6% and Sydney [...]

Positive sentiment could con’t ahead of US labor data, but mkt likely be disappointed as Unemployment has high likelihood of release at 10%.

ECB, Trichet rather hawkish relative to expectations. Focus is on US Employment Report out tonight. G-20 meeting this weekend in Scotland.

Bank of England said on Thur it would expand Quantitative Easing Program by £25-Billion to help kick-start Britain’s recession-hit economy.
